About Us

The Young Liberals at the University of Guelph are an active, focused force in local, provincial and federal politics.

The Young Liberals of Canada are an official commission of the Liberal Party of Canada, while the Ontario Young Liberals are a part of the Ontario Liberal Party. Both organizations have a presence at the University of Guelph in the form of two distinct clubs, which together form the University of Guelph Young Liberals.

By joining us you are gaining practical political and campaign-related experience, building a vibrant, lifelong network of friends on your campus, across Ontario, and across Canada and are a voice for progressive change both on our campus and in our community.  But, most importantly, we want to make getting involved to make a difference fun.

“I am a Liberal. I am one of those that thinks that everywhere, in human things, there are abuses to be reformed, new horizons to be opened up, and new forces to be developed. This condition of our nature is precisely what makes the greatness of man – for it condemns him irrevocably to movement, to progress. Our means may be limited, but our nature is perfectible and we have infinite for our arena.” – Sir Wilfred Laurier
